Pyrex, Summertime, (and my newly cultivated adoration of unusually quirky) Birdhouses

My Etsy store has become flooded with Pyrex - Amish butter print, primary colors, turquoise, milky white, fish scales - galore, and I'm diggin' it. I could envision myself creating a room of shelves (and stacking each shelf until it wobbled from the weight) with every variety of Pyrex. Mixing bowls, casserole dishes, Cinderella bowls and refrigerator dishes of every color would line the shelves - some stacked inside of others, some stacked on top of others - and it would be my favorite room. Pyrex sculptures? Pyrex wall decor? Perhaps I should look into that.

Before I went on a Pyrex listing spree - I took a much needed hiatus from technology and the city - a trip to Higgins Lake with my boyfriend and his (gigantic, outgoing, huge, talkative, did I say big?) family. The nearby town's quaintness was inspiring and relaxing.

And alas, birdhouses! Coming soon to an Etsy store near you!

Melmac, Enamel Ware, Tea For The Tillerman, Emalox

The annual Garage Sale in downtown Royal Oak, (15,000 sweat-drenched shoppers, level after level after level of tables lit only with streaks of sunlight seeping through the structured openings, arms weakening from plastic grocery bags stuffed with newspaper-wrapped treasures, fingers numbing and blackening from flipping through dust-covered album after album after album) was awesome. And worth it.

Currently listening to Cat Stevens, waiting for our polenta dinner to be ready and uploading .t.h.r.e.e. h.u.n.d.r.e.d. and f.o.u.r.t.e.e.n. photos.
Here's a sneak preview of what's to come!
